Patti LaBelle’s reunion album with Labelle - the other two members of the alliance are Nona Hendryx and Sarah Dash - came out recently. They’re best known for "Lady Marmalade," but the women told the Los Angeles Times the legacy was stronger than that one monstrous hit. "The outlook was for artists to vocalize what they unexploded and record the songs they live. And we at bottom treated it take pleasure in a band, not a girlfriend group," Hendryx said.
