Eleven businesses and one nonprofit will unreserved their doors today for the annual Holiday Open House. Business owners inspire residents to come participate in exceptional sales and begin their Christmas shopping. "We’re prevalent to have a crammed spiel of Christmas decorations - ornaments, wreaths, centerpieces and giftware," said John Patrick, possessor of Patrick’s Cleburne Floral. "We’ve got catchy much anything you can suppose of Christmaswise, and we still have our fall products out." Patrick’s, located at 204 N. Caddo St., will be unstop from 1-6 p.m. Gary Bennett, co-owner of Bennett Printing and Office Supply, said he is looking dispatch to another year of participating in the open-handed house.
"We will volunteer at no cost imprinting on Christmas cards," Bennett said. "We have all of our Christmas goodies match books, plates and napkins and cookbooks and modus operandi books." Other items on panoply at Bennett cover responsibility gifts, invitations and children’s items such as project books. Free wrapping is within reach for items purchased at the store, he said. Bennett, located at 300 E. Chambers, will be unrestricted from 1-6 p.m. Layland Museum, 201 N. Caddo St., will persuasible its doors to visitors and suggest refreshments and door prizes. They will be bring out from 1-6 p.m. "There’s a lot of visiting and socializing," said Diane Kidd, administrative underling and supervisor of Layland’s store.
"The door prizes will be for something fact precise out of the store. CASA of Johnson County is the only nonprofit participating in the inaugurate house. They will be set up at the corner of Ridgeway and West Henderson streets with some of the playhouses they will raffle. "We decidedly want to show off the houses," said Amy Millender, container employment forewoman at CASA.
"It is one of our outstanding fundraisers of the year." Raffle tickets are $5 each or five for $20. The depiction will be Dec. 14. Henderson St., 1-5 p.m.; Castle Collection, 157 S. Ridgeway St., 1-6 p.m.; Neta’s Photography, 501 S. Caddo St., 1-6 p.m.; Friou Floral, 315 N. Main St., 1-6 p.m.; and Lemon Sisters Cafe and Bakery, 205 S. Main St., 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
