Downtown IGA opens doors today.

The shelves that just weeks ago were undressed are now completely of canned goods, crackers, cookies, ruddy meat, frozen foods and an array of fruits and vegetables. There wasn’t unerringly a push when the unique grocery cooperative opened its doors, but they let Val Smelser, the firstly customer, in a few minutes early. Smelser machinery downtown, but lives out of town. None of the other grocery stores are particularly serviceable for her shopping.

This forenoon she needed to get snacks for her daughter’s confirmation class, so she checked out with a plush of Lunchables and a few other items. Rich Chadwick, proprietor of Everyday IGA, said the carry on link days of training and stocking shelves went well. There are still a few items missing that customers won’t even notice, he said. The hoard will be passable 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week.
