A hundred of Houston ISD schools were scheduled to public their doors this forenoon (Tuesday, Sept. 23) for the blue ribbon space since Hurricane Ike nuisance down on the Gulf Coast Sept. 12, and several others have already been added to the laundry list to reopen Thursday. Among those that have now had dominance restored are Johnston and Lanier halfway schools and the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. Staff will render today to provide for those campuses for students to repetition Thursday.
Schools in the Examiner coverage areas that were set to carry on this matinal were Condit, Cunningham, Gordon, Horn, Pilgrim, Rice, T.H. Rogers, St. George Place and Twain elementaries; Grady, Pershing, Pin Oak, Rice and T.H. Rogers waist schools; and Challenge, DeBakey, Lamar and Westbury exuberant schools.
West University Elementary and most schools in the Meyerland and River Oaks areas carry on closed until further notice. Return to this website for additional updates about HISD reopenings.
